Thursday evening Kalisha Hall debuted her SS ‘17 Collection “Versus” at Style Fashion Week during New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the fight that women experience when learning to embrace their confidence, self-worth and strength. Boxing served as the basis for her collection as a manifestation of the internal struggle women fight everyday.
The show opened with a powerful video that brought excitement and motivation to the crowd. Each model walked down the runway with a sense of purpose and determination, bringing the confidence the clothes demand. Laces, gloves and hoods reminiscent of boxing gear were seen all through the collection. Mixed through the strong and tough accents were soft, feminine cues of fluidity and cinched silhouettes personifying the modern woman. The collection projected the message of empowerment leaving the entire audience with a sense of power that was undeniable.
