John Legend, Fantasia, And Charlie Wilson Join Host Cedric The Entertainer And Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient New Edition As First Announced Soul Train Awards 2012 Performers

Soul Train Awards 2012 is pleased to announce John Legend, Fantasia, and Charlie Wilson as the first performers to this year’s lineup. Soul Train legend Jody Watley and recording artist Keri Hilson will also join previously announced host, Cedric the Entertainer, and 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, New Edition, as two of this year’s presenters.

For the first time in Soul Train Awards history, this year’s show will be a part of a special 3-day experience bringing together the biggest names in music, comedy, and entertainment. Kicking off on Thursday, November 8th at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas will be the brand’s annual awards show, Soul Train Awards 2012. The 3-day experience will also feature a Comedy All Star showcase on November 9th, a live concert event on November 10th, and golf tournament. The Soul Train Awards 2012 will premiere simultaneously on BET and Centric on Sunday, November 25th at 9pm ET/PT.

In addition to performing at this year’s Awards show, John Legend is nominated for “Song of the Year” for “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” featuring Ludacris.
