Shyne Launches Petition to Return to the United States

Former Bad Boy rapper Shyne has launched a  petition in hopes of returning to the United States.  The Belize-born rapper is seeking 25,000 signature for the petition posted on the White House website.  Unfortunately for Shyne, thus far, he has only obtained less than 500 signatures.

He was deported to Belize from the United States in October of 2009, after serving time for a 1999 shooting incident at a New York nightclub while partying with Bad Boy CEO Diddy and his then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

While in jail he converted to Judaism  and changed his name from Jamal Michael Barrow to Moshe Levi.  Since his release Shyne has signed a a new contact with Def Jam and is also the current Cultural Ambassador of Belize.

He is asking for a visa based off his good behavior and community service since his conviction.  The petition can be read and signed here.
