Call for Entries: The 2015 Screenwriters Residency Program at the Bahamas International Film Festival has recently been opened for your screenwriting submissions! This opportunity will afford talented, emerging writers the connections to top Hollywood mentors. The 4-day program will select 4 winning screenwriters for an all-expenses paid trip to The Bahamas in December and will consists of screenplay development, mentorship and networking with some of Hollywood’s top professionals. This screenwriting competition is open for original feature film & TV pilot entries until July 22nd.
This year’s mentors include:
- Vince Gerardis: Producer (HBO’s Games Of Thrones)
- Dan Guando: Weinstein Co. Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, Production & Development
- Taylor Benzie: Literary Manager at Kaplan/Perrone
- Sean Covel: Film Producer (Napoleon Dynamite, Beneath, Cafe)
- Cameron Cubbison: co-founder of ScreenCraft, studio-trained development executive
- Matthew Helderman: CEO and co-founder at Buffalo 8 Productions and Bondit
The Screenwriters Residency Program, will run December 1 – 4 in Harbour Island, Bahamas.
