Riri’s abuser ex-boyfriend, controversial R&B star Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with felony assault in Washington, D.C. for allegedly punching an unidentified man in the face.
Brown, 24, was arrested with his bodyguard following “an altercation” outside the W Hotel at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:30 a.m., a DC police spokeswoman confirmed to ABC News.
Police spokesman Paul Metcalf confirmed that Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault Sunday. Metcalf told The Associated Press that 35-year-old Chris Hollosy was also was arrested on felony assault charges after the incident.
Brown will be held until court on Monday, since he is reported to be on probation and not eligible for release until seeing a judge, a source told ABC News.

Unfortunately, the “Forever” singer is no stranger to legal trouble. He was arrested in 2009 after he turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department following an incident with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. In June 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years’ formal probation, and domestic violence counseling.
Police told The AP that one adult male victim was injured and was reportedly taken to a hospital with injuries.
