Are you ready to write, shoot and edit a film/video in 72 hours? 

Imagine Your Two-Minute iPhone video on the screen at the Caribbean Lens Film Festival

On Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 7:00 pm the Institute of Caribbean Studies in partnership with the Caribbean Film Academy will announce the Catch in the first Annual CAHM 72 Hour Film Challenge.

The Challenge is open to amateur, cell phone or professional film makers in the Caribbean or in the American diaspora. The theme of the challenge will relate to Caribbean American heritage, history, culture and lifeways.

Using their own locations, props, businesses, and dialogue with challenge phrase provided on May 28th, contestants have 72 hours to bring a short film from 2 to 6 minutes from script to screen.  It is preferred that soundtrack feature original music and sound effects or be selected from Caribbean songwriters and musicians.  2015 Soundtrack partners include Natalie Jean; Dr. Remix; Lennard Jack; and Loughton Sargeant.

All the films will be screened at the Caribbean Lens Film Festival in Los Angeles (June 16-18).   The Films will also be run online during with month of June with online voting for audience favorite.  The judges will vote for Top Three Films.

Early registration by May 20th is $20 and is non refundable.
