This past Sunday legendary reggae crooner Beres Hammond delivered a much needed relief from the stress of the pandemic. Beres fans from all over the world tuned into the virtual “Love From A Distance” event hosted by VP Records. The event reminded us all that there is healing in good music and there could not have been a better time for this reminder.
The Grammy-nominated singer was in rare form as he delivered hit chune after hit chune including my absolute favorite “Full Attention”. Beres’ impressive animation was only match by his amazing vocals. This 65 year old belied his age and delivered a set full of energy! Fans were also treated to musical collaborations with Beres’ well-known friends including Buju Banton, Marcia Griffiths and, to my surprise, Poppy aka Popcaan!
This event gave me life and renewed vigor in remembering the days when we used to rock away… those were the days! Those days are just right around the corner again as we emerge from a year of darkness. Thank you to Beres and VP Records for reminding us of this.
“For all the well wishers, fans, family, and friends and everyone, I am very saddened by the almost two years I haven’t seen you… it makes me feel bad. I’m trying to do this thing now so we can stay in touch. Welcome to Beres”

Thanks again to Beres and VP Records. I cannot wait to get out to a live stage show real soon.
