Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is honored to celebrate his Barbadian roots as an Executive Producer and Narrator for a new movie coming out of Barbados “Barrow: Freedom Fighter”. The film is the latest project from acclaimed Barbados-born film producers Dave and Marcia Weekes.
Other Hollywood notables making up the cast include Lisa Arrindell Anderson (Drumline: A New Beat, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, and Spike Lee’s Clockers) and Lisa Simone (daughter of Nina Simone).
The producers of the film are still securing additional actors as they seek to take Barbados from the Caribbean region to the world but they need your help!
The producers are asking, If you believe in the work of Hon. Errol Walton Barrow, his provision of free education, expansion of social services, and dedication to the nation he served then, please donate financially and spread the word. In the first round of fundraising, their goal is to raise $75,000US in order to cover pre-production and some of the filming costs.
There are great perks being offered to contributors — including exclusive film merchandise, VIP access to film premieres in London or Barbados, Skype calls with cast and crew, and much more. Please visit our Indiegogo page and watch our video to learn more.
