This weekend the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA) held court in the form of a press conference at the Sheraton hotel in Downtown Atlanta. The press conference lead by ACCBA President, Patricia Henry, Secretary Karen and Public Relations Officer, Junia Blackburn marked the “official launch” of the Atlanta Carnival season.
This year, the 24th Annual Atlanta Carnival once again promises to be a carnival full of “Mas and Music”. The press conference highlighted this with great deejays (DJ Optimistique) and a parade of beautifully, tailored colorful costumes.
This year’s Atlanta Carnival takes place on Saturday, May 26, 2012. and show line-up is quite impressive. Performing on stage this year will be: Kerwin Dubois, Edwin Yearwood, Burning Flames, Iwer George, Tanto Metro and Devonte, Skinny Fabulous, Djakout Muzik, and many, more great artists!!
