The 2016 Olympics Games in Rio closed on Sunday evening in fine style as the host country, Brazil, featured a closing ceremony which culminated with a party featuring samba schools from Rio’s world-famous Carnival and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame.
The Caribbeans, especially a very fast Jamaican, have left their indelible mark. From a golden dive at the finish line, to a young Haitian woman swimming her way into history, to winning gold medals at 3 Olympics in a row, the Caribbeans certainly came and conquered. At final tally, Caribbeans walked away with a total of 28 medals.
