Marsha Gay Reynolds, 32, turned herself in to Drug Enforcement Administration agents at JFK after federal prosecutors in Los Angeles charged her with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Law enforcement sources said Reynolds works for JetBlue and took one of the carrier’s flights to New York. The former Jamaican beauty queen is scheduled to appear today in federal court in Brooklyn.

According to an FBI agent’s affidavit supporting the charge, Reynolds drew the attention of Transportation Security Administration agents at 7:08 p.m. March 18 when she approached a Terminal 4 checkpoint area for flight crew members.

Reynolds, wearing a black suit jacket and jeans, was lugging two carry-on bags and a large, duffle-size purse, the affidavit said.

A TSA officer working the station asked her for her “known crew member” badge and a second form of identification.

The officer scanned Reynolds’ badge into the terminal, which showed her to be a pre-screened known crew member, but randomly selected her for a secondary TSA screening, the affidavit said.

Reynolds became nervous as the officer called for a supervisor. She began looking around and pulled a cellphone from her purse, the affidavit said. According to the affidavit, she called someone “and spoke in a foreign language the officer could not understand”.  LOOOOOOOL, I’m sure she spoke patois and dropped a few claat in that convo!

When the supervisor arrived, Reynolds was told to follow him to a secondary screening area. At several points while walking, the supervisor asked her to follow more closely. Reynolds talked on her phone the entire time, the document said.

Once they reached the screening area, the supervisor asked for her identification and flight crew member badge. Instead, Reynolds dropped her carry-on bags, removed her shoes and ran down an upward escalator out of Terminal 4 and toward Terminal 5, the affidavit said.

Bomb detection dogs sniffed the left behind luggage for explosives, but found none. Inside, the bags contained 11 green cellophane-wrapped packages marked “Big Ranch.” Each package contained yellow or white envelopes with a powdery substance inside that tested positive for cocaine, the affidavit said.
