Claire Sulmers, Editor in Chief of the Fashion Bomb Daily hosted “Cocktails with Claire NYC – The Holiday Edition” and it was absolutely fabulous! For those of you who aren’t familiar with Claire, she is the advocate of all things fashion! Through her daily fashion blog (http://fashionbombdaily.com/), she gives you a look into her world of covering fashion, entertainment and lifestyle events.
The event took place at the intimate Louie and Chan 303 Lounge on the lower east side on Friday night. Fashionistas and Fashionistos were dressed to the nines in the party theme of the evening, “Silver & Gold”. There was an assortment of tasty cocktails provided by Hendrick’s Gin and MYX Moscato. While the drinks flowed DJ Olivia Dope was spinning some serious beats and getting into the groove herself!
Claire donned a black and gold satin suit, not sure who the designer was but it looked like an Antonio Berardi! She was very personable and interacted and chatted with her Fashion Bomb Daily followers and welcomed us to take pictures with her. There were a few well knowns in the party such as celebrity hair stylist Ursula Stephens and the well renowned fashion stylist to Beyonce’, Ty Hunter! Ty was also very friendly and approachable. There was a Toyota Camry Bold Award gift certificate given to the attendee with the most head turning look. Style and Fashion was a constant throughout the night from the award for the best look to the atmosphere of the lounge with its retro funky vibe.
This was my first time attending a “Cocktails with Claire” event and I must say, I was impressed! As a parting gift we received a swag bag filled with goodies from some of her sponsors such as Clique Perfume by Roble’, Nivea lotion and a keep sake glass with the Fashion Bomb Daily logo across the front. I had a lot of fun and happy that I had a chance to meet Claire. I can’t wait see what see does next!
