According to TMZ.com, Stevie J was arrested for owing upwards of $1 million in child support arrears.
Stevie J has two teenage kids aged 14 and 16 with ex-girlfriend Carol Bennett. Steebie (real name Steven Jordan) was ordered to pay $6,000 per month (subsequently increased to $8,500) in child support however after about ten years, (when the money wasn’t rolling in??) he stopped.
It is estimated that Stevie J earns over $300,000 per annum combined from the hugely popular Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reality show and royalties. In fact, Stevie has been on his hit reality show talking about all his money so I’m a little surprised. On a recent episode, after former girlfriend, turned porn star Mimi Faust dropped a sex tape he told her he has “a lot of money” and could get attorneys involved to gain custody of their daughter. Pump your brakes Steebie! You will probably need those attorneys to help you outta this sitchaation!
Ironically, at a press launch before the show premiered, when Stevie J was asked what would America see, he said it was about a “young man trying to get his sh&* together”. Hope he gets it together soon. No one wants their daddy in jail!
UPDATE: Stevie J has bonded out and will have to face the music in a New York courtroom very soon. I will keep you up to date!

But Stevie J defaulted in 2001 and has not paid any money since then. Now he owes a total $1,107,412 in back child support.
Stevie J has since bonded out of jail but will be facing a judge in a New York court sometime soon.
