Yvens Brissard (“Fo”) has been a staple in the Haitian community for many years. When I heard about the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti last week, he was one of the first persons I reached out to because I know he has family there. His love for his community and Haiti is nothing new but what is new is that his Brooklyn record store, Savoire Faire has become a hub for all things Haitian Relief. The store has become the meeting place for sharing of information, collection of supplies and a meeting place for those directly affected by the tragic earthquake of last week.
Shout out to my boy Yvens Brissard (“Fo”) and Savoir Faire Record Store in Brooklyn for always repping for his community. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication! My thoughts are with you and your family!!!
