Bob Marley, the late, great reggae icon took the number five spot on Forbes’ Top-Earning Dead Celebrity List. Marley racked up a whopping $18mm in revenue. Marley was superseded only by the King of Pop Michael Jackson who topped the list at $160MM, followed by Elvis Presley at $55MM (mostly from Graceland tourist proceeds), Charlie Brown/Peanuts creator Charles Schulz came in third with $37MM, and Elizabeth Taylor hold the fourth spot earning $25MM.
Most of Marley’s income reportedly comes from Bob Marley branded merchandise.
