Finally, it appears that someone is feeling some sympathy for Lauryn Hill. Hill, a mother of six (five of whom are Bob Marley’s grandchildren!) was released from prison last week after serving three months on a tax evasion conviction.
Although Hill must still serve another three months on house arrest, a federal judge in New Jersey is allowing Lauryn Hill to participate in a concert tour before completing her sentence. According to the Associated Press, Attorney Nathan Hochman says Hill is permitted to work during the last six weeks of this year before finishing the balance of her three-month home detention.
This is good news! Lauryn Hill needs to be working and earning an income to help provide for her family. Furthermore, sending her to prison for three months was just plain stupid!
Maybe Lauryn’s tour will stop by a city near you! I will keep you up-to-date on this story!
