Well it’s official, the 4th Annual Miami Broward Carnival is underway! This celebration will spotlight the pulsating steel pan and soca music, dazzling costumes, sumptuous foods and lively spirit of South Florida’s Caribbean and international community, with an action packed schedule of festivities including these marquee events such as Parade of Bands, Concert and Stage Show inside Sun Life Stadium which will serve as bacchanal headquarters.
Rumor has it that the media blitz has begun and the “Bacchanazzi” (Bacchanal + Paparazzi=Bacchanazzi) have already landed and are attempting to the get the first Miami Broward Carnival 2012 pics of the International Soca superstar Machel Montano at the press conference scheduled Thursday. Soca insiders have reported that he hasn’t revealed his musical fete plan, however we know he will turn it out HD style. The “Queen of Soca” Alison Hinds is scheduled to show South Florida who runs the world by headlining the Girl Power Soca show! She was in attendance last year but didn’t perform if you remember (redcarpetshelley.com/home/why-didnt-alison-hinds-perform-at-miami-carnival/), so let’s see if she get’s her fete on…I’m sure she will not disappoint!!
