In case you didn’t know, International Drag racing has been making its mark in St. Maarten for some time now.  It has been reported that Drag Racing is the biggest sport on the island.  Who knew such an exciting, thrilling sport could be found on a island known for pristine white sandy beaches and tasty island cuisine. The roar of engines will once again be heard at an International Car and Bike show competition hosted by Shy Guy Productions and St. Maarten Drag Racing Association.  Fast cars, sexy bikes and gorgeous drivers will be on display this Sunday, August 12, 2012 starting at 11am at Princess Port de Plaisance in St. Maarten for an exciting car and bike show competition that won’t disappoint.  Some of the exhilarating categories are Best Burn off, Best Look Car & Chick Combo and Best Customized Car to name a few.  I personally have come to enjoy the thrill of Drag racing on the islands.  The last time I experienced it was in Nevis a few years ago in 2010 when Leroy Liburd mash up the place by winning the Nevis race during the Culturama Festival.  Check out the event and the video below as St. Maarten Drag racing goes from zero to 60!
