Beenie Man sent out a press release informing his fans that he will not be performing at the Reggae, Rhythm and Blues concert on Labor Day weekend in New York City. Although, the ‘Girls Dem Shuga’ won’t be performing he will be on stage to receive an award from the show’s organizers for his contributions to dancehall and reggae. Now, c’mon we know that Beenie loves the spotlight! I don’t believe for one moment that he will not perform anything at all.
He’s making sure the fans know that he will not be performing and I appreciate that but I doubt that he can resist the temptation to perform in the United States for the first time in two years!!! Mark my words! RCS sey so!
“I will not performing onstage so I don’t want to mislead my fans because I have not yet been granted a US work permit. So don’t come expecting a Beenie Man performance because at this moment, I am not eligible to perform onstage. However, I am looking forward to appearing at the event because the organisers will be honouring me for my 33 year-long contribution to reggae and dancehall music,” Beenie Man said in the release.
