The Marleys have done it again!  Ziggy Marley won the 2014 Grammy for Best Reggae Album for his live album, Ziggy Marley in Concert.

Marley beat out a formidable list of competitors including Sizzla (The Messiah), Beres Hammond (One Love, One Life), Snoop Lion (Reincarnated) and Sly and Robbie and the Jam Masters (Reggae Connection).  This Grammy is Ziggy’s sixth Grammy Award.  He has won three for solo albums and three with  Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers.

The Marley Grammy track record is quite impressive.  The Marleys currently have 12 Grammy Awards under the family belt (Stephen Marley and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley both have three each).  The legacy of Bob Marley lives on.   Biggups to Ziggy!

RCS SIDEBAR:   I have to admit, I was secretly hoping, wising and a prayn’ that my favorite reggae crooner, Beres Hammond won!  #NoShade
