After asking her name, returning judge Cee Lo Green asked “Where are you from”.  Chin proudly responded “Kingston, Jamaica”.   The fun was just beginning.  Cee Lo told Tessanne she sang the song like “a grown woman” to which Chin responded “thank you Mr. Cee Lo, I AM a grown woman” as she simultaneously gave ‘Mr. Cee Lo” a likke wine!!  YAAAAAAASSSS!!

“You Can Easily Win The Voice This Year”, Adam Levine

With all four judges in hot pursuit, the battle began!  Shelton Blake asked Chin if she’s been singing for a long time to which she responded “yes sir, its my “bread and butta back home”.   She said it so melodically in Jamaican patois that Adam Levine asked her to say it again…and she did!

“My favorite music comes from where your from. Reggae music is the greatest thing in the world to me.  It would have been the mistake of a lifetime to not turn around for you cause you have something crazy special.  I want it bad!”
~Adam Levine

After that, it came as not much of a surprise when Tessanne Chin chose Adam Levine.

Congratulations to Tessanne on what was a PHENOMENAL performance.  You made Jamaica and all of the Caribbean proud!  By the way, I think Tessanne knows how much support and love she has:
