Labor Day weekend in New York City is a time for all peoples of the Caribbean to celebrate, wave their flags and, of course, party. Hot 97 “celebrates the diverse music and culture that continues to emerge from the Caribbean islands” by hosting a very popular stage show called On Da Reggae Tip.
On Da Reggae Tip showcases the hottest dancehall, reggae and soca acts coming out of the Caribbean on a New York City stage during the annual Labor Day Caribbean Carnival week.
This year’s show included Mavado, Mr. Vegas, Konshens, Christopher Martin, Laza Morgan, Elephant Man Baby Cham and many more. Shoutout to Alison Hinds for holding down for the females!!!
