After a short absence last year, Tarrus ‘Singy Singy’ Riley returns to the stage of the Greatest Reggae Show on Earth with what promises to be a spectacular performance.

“Being on Sumfest is always something I look forward to. Even though I travel the world, there’s no place like home and seeing familiar faces,” the Renowned Reggae singer said, “patrons can expect me and my Blak Soil band to give a Little One Drop and taking it To the Limit… a very energetic performance filled with various messages of peace, unity, love and celebration.”

Tarrus Riley joins a solid lineup of local and international acts on International Night 1 – Friday, July 26. The night features international Hip-Hop star Flo-Rida and the iconic veterans Beres Hammond and Barrington Levy as well as Nature, Iba Mahr, Droop Lion and Kirah Dubwah. The gifted hitmaker Jah Cure is set to bring the curtain down.

“I’m honored to have a very young career and sharing the stage with these great artistes that I’ve always looked up to and to sum it all up it’s truly a dream come through. I’m blessed to be living my dream,” Riley also added.

Festival boss Johnny Gourzong remarked, “The Greatest Reggae Show on Earth has missed one of Reggae’s stars, Tarrus is an incredible performer, and his fans can expect nothing less than an explosive show come July 26, in celebration of our 21st year.”

The son of Rocksteady and Reggae Icon Jimmy Riley, Tarrus rose to prominence in 2006 with his smash hit She’s Royal. Over the years the Roots Reggae singer has consistently produced hits such as Good Girl Gone Bad, a duet with Dancehall artiste Konshens, Parables and Never Leave I.

He is currently on a world tour with Dean Fraser and his Blak Soil Band spanning Europe, Africa, and North America. His current singles Gimmie Likkle One Drop and To the Limit have been doing well internationally. Gimmie Likkle One Drop peaked at number one on the UK’s Reggae Chart and was added to BBC 1Xtra’s official playlist in May.

Tarrus Riley was recently awarded two IRAWMA awards – for Best Male Vocalist and Most Cultural/Educational Entertainer.
