Team Red Carpet Shelley was in the house for an up close and personal performance by Tarrus Riley and the Blak Soil Band with Music Director renowned Saxophonist Dean Fraser. The ‘Blending Life’s Experiences Musically‘ event was held on October 1, 2019 at the intimate SOBs in lower Manhattan,
The venue was packed and Tarrus sang songs like “Lion Paw”, fan favorite “She’s Royal” and “I’ll Stay with You”, “Guess Who”, “One Drop”, “GYAL”, “Kryptonite”, “My Day”, “Never Leave I”, Feel It”, “Dangerous Water”, “Powerful”, “Superman”, “Trust Issues”, “Don’t Come Back”, “Simple Blessings” to the powerful anthem “Just Love”.
One enthusiastic Riley fan sported a GYAL t-shirt, a reference to Tarrus’ new song on the BLEM project “Girl You are Loved”. RCS has seen Tarrus many times most recently on the Jamrock Cruise last December where we were lucky enough to jump on stage and be part of the Tarrus Riley choir.
Tarrus’ star power extends far beyond his fan base to the who’s who of Caribbean music as evidenced by the celebs in attendance. The SOB show brought out Shaggy , Morgan Heritage, DJ Norie, Noah Powa and K’Coniel to name a few and was hosted by Nikki Z. Tarrus gave a wonderful performance enjoyed by all including Tarrus:
