Haitian producer Joseph ‘Country’ Kernizan, the suspected murderer of dancehall artist Wayne Hamilton aka Captain Barkey and his lover Tracy Bennett last weekend in a Bronx motel parking lot, has reportedly committed suicide.
According to the Daily Mail: Barry Golden of the US Marshals told CBS reporters that with the help of NYPD investigators Kernizan was tracked to a local Florida apartment. Authorities closed in on him and ordered people out of the premises, as they exited gunshots could be heard coming from inside. A robot with a mounted camera was sent inside and the device discovered the body of the suspect, Joseph Kernizan
Hamilton ‘Capt Barkey’, 50 who resided in Milawaukee with his wife and Tracy, 38 were secretly dating for five years. Tracy had a restraining by the Nassau County police against her jealous, obsessive estranged ex Kernizan.
The Jamaican born entertainer, Captain Barkey released a song ‘Nah lef Joe’ in 2010 that was rumored to have been about the love triangle he was apart of. Coincidentally, a line from the song, ‘…mi life dun over bun…’ (My life is over because of cheating). His wife Tracy denies knowing anything about the five year relationship (that’s hard to believe!).
The whole story is sad and especially the senseless loss of life. Now you understand why Mr. Vegas would rather rant on social media or make music?
