St Kitts and Nevis has copped third spot on a list of the “10 Best Islands in the World” by US News & World Report. It was pipped to the post by The Maldives and Bora Bora, at numbers one and two, respectively. St. Kitts Nevis is one of the MOST beautiful places on earth. Check out my personal collection of some of my favorite St. Kitts Nevis pics. NJoy!
St Kitts and Nevis edged out such destinations as Seychelles, Fiji, the Cayman Islands, St Martin-St Maarten and the United States Virgin Islands. Yes, of course, the Virgin Islands had to be represented, its Red Carpet Shelley’s birthplace! Beautiful island = beautiful people – I’m just sayn.
Illustrated by a shot of St Kitts’ Frigate Bay Beach, US News & World Report stated:
“Why Go: It’s no wonder that these two islands attract celebs in droves. Who wouldn’t want to spend their vacation sprawled across golden-brown sands, exploring ancient fortresses, or noshing on fried conch? St Kitts & Nevis offer their visitors an authentic Caribbean experience, from the history exhibited at the Brimstone Hill Fortress, to the drinks served at the shack-like beach bars. RCS sidebar: if you are like me and enjoy beach bars, check out my number one choice “Sunshines” and be sure to ask for a Killer Bee!
And note that both islands boast spectacular shorelines, so you can’t go wrong with either.”
The publication allows people to vote whether or not the destination belongs on the list, which determines 50 percent of the ranking.
Other islands listed, in descending order, were: Santorini, Seychelles, Fiji, Maui, Cayman Islands, St Martin –St Maarten and the United States Virgin Islands.
