Multi-talented reggae musician, producer and singer/songwriter Serani came to Atlanta recently and visited with Caribbean Runnings crew at 89.3 WRFG Atlanta.  During his visit Serani discussed some of his views on the ever-changing reggae music industry and the impact of illegally downloaded music.
He describes the reggae music industry as being the hardest hit by the evolution of MP3s.  In his opinion, this “killed reggae” music. “Back in the day before free downloads, producers would have made a lot more money off of songs that didn’t even cross over”.
Serani has grown musically as an artist and I’m looking forward to his next project.  In the meantime, you can “support reggae music” and BUY Serani’s music on iTunes.
