DKMS Linked Against Leukemia held their 5th annual Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City and the non-profit organization honored both Rihanna and Michael Clinton for their dedication and tireless work in the fight against leukemia (I wasn’t even aware of Riri’s “tireless work” – who knew?) The event also attracted celebrities who support DKMS and work hard in the fight against leukemia, such as Pharrell, Mary J. Blige (Mary performed at the event), Vera Wang, Eva Mendes and Leighton Meester. Rihanna looked impeccable on the red carpet in a long black gown. Go Riri!

From Rihanna: Anyone can be affected by leukemia. It is the number one disease children in the U.S. die of and we can change that. I encourage people to become bone marrow donor with DKMS. If we have more donors, we can save more lives.

DKMS Linked Against Leukemia is the worlds largest bone marrow center and has won the hearts of many celebrities who are dedicated to help in the fight against leukemia. Tonights gala event honored Rihanna and DKMS President Michael Clinton for their tireless work and dedication to raising awareness about the importance of donating bone marrow; as well as their ongoing support of the organization as a whole.
