Last night, various entrepreneurs and business leaders convened at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for The Great Gatsby-themed Pink Power Awards Gala, a celebration of women who have exhibited power, confidence, success and the ability to conquer adversity.
Among the VIPs were Towanda Braxton (actress/tv personality) – who emcee’d the event — Tameka Raymond (Kiles World Foundation), Renee Lawless (actress, Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots”), Dr. Heavenly Kimes (entrepreneur/tv personality), Dr. Evelyn Wynn-Dixon (Mayor of Riverdale, GA) and Pink Power Conference co-founders Felicia Phillips and Kim N. Carswell.
The honorees were: Champion Award – Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum (Spelman College); Community Award – Deidra Cunningham (IKEA); Visionary Award – Karen Sterk (YWCA Atlanta); Pink Award – Kathleen Bertrand (BronzeLens); PinkPreneur Award – Indigo Triplett (Careers In Transition); Mentorship Award – Nikki Arora (UST Global); Pioneer Award – Edie Fraser (STEMconnector); and the Spirit Award – Jamie Foster Brown (Sister 2 Sister Magazine)
Guests relaxed in a special suite designed by IKEA and walked away with gifts from MYX Fusions Moscato and Skimpy Mixers.
The conference continues today at Philips Arena with seminars by top industry experts who will focus on core areas such as personal branding, equal rights, wellness, sustainability, social media as well as leadership, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.
