This year’s Indonesian Diversity show highlighted a collection of designers with an emphasis on celebrating Batik, a technique of pattern making.

The show featured three luxury brands ready-to-wear labels from Indonesia: Suedeson by Kimberly Tandra, Vivi Zubedi, and Coreta Louise.

VIVIZUBEDI: Marrakech SS19

VIVIZUBEDI was established in 2011 and specializes in high fashion garments, particularly Abayas, for Muslim women. After receiving its monogram, VIVIZUBEDI released accessories ranging from bags, silks, shoes, and even a fragrance. Inspired by the beauty of the city of Marrakech, this year’s collection featured a mixture of silk and velvets, with matching shoes and bags.

The stunning collection paired the brand’s monogram and patchwork prints to make you feel as if you were looking at the tileworks from the street of Marrakech! And the bags! Let’s not forget about those beautiful clear totes. Vivi Zubedi is surely making her mark in the international market.

Suedeson by Kimberly Tandra: Nucleus SS19

Kimberly Tandra presents her second collection this year at New York fashion week and didn’t disappoint. This collection draws inspiration from her hometown Surabaya creating prints and silhouettes that model the cities modern skyscrapers. The architecturally crafted pieces mix leather, dramatic sleeves, and Ayam Kate prints. The collection also featured stunning head pieces that live up to the name of the collection (Nucleus, a core or central part of something).

Coreta Louise SS19

Coreta Louise’s collection shows her versatility. With everything from jackets, capes, pants, and dresses, anyone watching could find something that they could wear. Coreta’s well-tailored pieces were crafted using a combination of jewel tones and Batik.
