Omarion has signed with EMI Records and is set to release his new album “Ollusion” under his newly created Starworld Entertainment label on November 24. Since going solo in 2005, the former B2K lead has released the platinum selling album “O”, followed by “21″ in 2006 and a joint venture with Bow Wow in 2007, “Face Off”. Since this time, however, Omarion has bounced around a bit. He worked with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group however no album was released. He then signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money for about two hot seconds before announcing his departure from the label.
Omarion is maturing and probably in search of his musical soul. “My style has evolved so much on this album — I was able to express truly who I am from a creative and artistic standpoint, which allowed me to share a personal side of myself with my fans through my music. This is my masterpiece and I can’t wait for the world to hear my new album,”. I think leaving Young Money was probably a good move for Omarion as the label may not have been the best fit for this R&B singer. The first single off the album “I Get In” featuring Gucci Mane is set for release Oct 5.
