OFFICIAL VIDEO: The Saturdays Ft. Sean Paul- “What About Us”

British pop group The Saturdays teamed with dancehall star Sean Paul on their new single “What About Us” and they’ve dropped the song’s official music video. The single topped the UK’s iTunes chart last week, making it the first number one single for the all girl Irish/British band and the second number one for Sean Paul.

His previous UK number one was also as a featured performer, on R&B singer Blu Cantrelle’s “Breathe” in 2003. His highest ranking prior to those two songs was with “Baby Boy” (with Beyonce) which hit the number two position.

“What About Us” (which is featured on the quintet’s Chasing The Saturdays EP) gives Sean Paul his 22nd entry on the British pop chart, the most by a Jamaican act. His first appearance came in 2002 when “Gimmie the Light” peaked at number 32. In 2003, a remix of the made it to number five.

“What about Us” is the first number one for The Saturdays who have 14 UK pop singles entries to their credit, 12 of which went top 10. So far, the single has peaked at number 79 in Canada; number 27 on Billboard’s Dance Club Play chart and number 50 on Billboard’s Pop Digital Songs chart in the US.

Formed in 2007, the Saturdays have released three studio albums to date.

Sean Paul is currently working on his sixth studio album due later this year. His previous album Tomahawk Technique was a major success in Europe and Asia.
