Athanasiou SS19 is proving the term “sex sells” mixing 70s fashion, sexual references, and the model Shaun Ross. The menswear featured Ross as an angel in High Renaissance inspired artwork. An interesting mix of sex and the church, the images of Ross were combined with naked women and quotes such as “I shaved my balls for this” and “you’re not gonna get in my pants if you don’t love Jesus” as graphic prints.
The women’s wear was all about 70s glam with animal prints, kimonos, and sequins. And to drive their point home even further, 70s porn star Ron Jeremy closed out the show! The styling was amazing and so were the garments. Excellent show!
