Grammy-award winning royal family of reggae Morgan Heritage releases their next project Avrakedabra today Friday, May 19.
The royal family of reggae fresh off their Grammy win for Best Reggae Album (Strictly Roots) has kept busy touring and recording. The new project has been described by Peetah Morgan as “our best work to date”.
The album is avaiable on iTunes and all other major digital distributors.
“The album title was inspired by our love of history. Being that we are students of history, we discovered this word and its various pronunciations throughout the history of time. We chose it as the title of the album because we like it, and we feel it represents the new era that our career is about to enter. The meaning we will leave to the audience to decide, since we’ve discovered so many over the dispensation of time,” explain the band about the new album title, Avrakedabra.
Morgan Heritage collaborated with many big names in the industry including Grammy Award-winning artists Ziggy Marley and Stephen Marley. They’re also clearly in touch with the “streets” and included collabs with the younger crop of hitmakers R. City, Kabaka Pyramid, and Dre Island .
