“I find inspiration all around me on a daily basis, including everything from nature, art, museums, music and traveling to friends and family”. “My inspiration is never rooted in one thing. For each collection, I look at everything around me and take it in and use it to create either fabric, color story, or design.” – Michelle Helene

Michelle Helene believes in using organic fabrics from nature. She wants you to appreciate purity and quality of the natural fibers. When creating her designs she takes wearability into account. The garment is not meant to be a costume, it should be something that you feel confident in. That being said, here Fall/Winter 16 Presentation for New York Fashion Week was meticulously coordinated.

Sweaters with tribal prints, plaid shirts with matching pants, warm cozy coats just to describe a few pieces on display. The clothing gives the aesthetics of warmth and comfort yet giving you style all at the same time. Though the colors were a mixture of texture, patterns and prints they all came together well to form a collection of interchangeable pieces.

Helene is very passionate about the betterment of the world and through fashion she tries to contribute through ethically sourcing her fabrics as well as having her apparel made in the USA. Here are a few snapshots from her presentation at Pier 59.
