Over the weekend, Matt Damon and his wife of 10 years, Luciana Barroso renewed their vows on the exquisitely beautiful island of St. Lucia. The actor, director and Oscar-winning screenwriter first wed the Argentina-born former bartender in a private civil ceremony in December 2005 so this was their dream wedding at long last.
The 42-year-old actor and his wife, 36, enjoyed a star-studded celebration at the Sugar Beach resort in St. Lucia on Saturday. The Hollywood couple reportedly paid $1 million to have the entire resort reserved for only their guests.
The wedding was very small with only 50 or so guests invited to the exclusive renewal of vows. Some of their celebrity friends in attendance included Jimmy Kimmel and his fiancé Molly McNearney, Stanley Tucci (of Hunger Games fame), Thor star Chris Hemsley was also in attendance. Of course, Matt Damon’s BFF Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner were also present.
Matt and Luciana exchanged vows under thatched roofs at sunset, according to Us Weekly, ‘with the groom wearing a tan-coloured suit and flip-flops, and the bride donning a cream-coloured gown featuring a sequined belt at the waist. The guests then enjoyed cocktails under tiki lights!
