Its almost here – the culmination of Caribbean cultural celebration – the 22nd Annual Atlanta Carnival!!!!!! The carnival is set to go down on May 29, 2010. Themed, “It’s Yours, It’s Mine, It’s Carnival”, this celebration promises to be one of the biggest and best ever as this year marks a symbolic return to Downtown, Atlanta, GA. The parade starts on West Peachtree, and ends with a Festival Village on historic Auburn Avenue. To get us prepared the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association threw a launch party – check out the pictures!
To get everyone else in the mood, this weekend come out to the “Pan in the City”(click for details) event at the Underground Atlanta.
By incorporating a variety of sights, sounds and tastes of the Caribbean, the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association promises a valuable “experience” that brings the “essence” of Carnival from the Caribbean into the City of Atlanta.
