The internet is all abuzz today that dancehall superstar , Vybz Kartel nee Adidja Palmer broke out of prison earlier today. RCS sources close to the scene say this rumor is just plain false and someone is trying to profit from salacious internet rumors but I want to play devil’s advocate and hypothesize on this theory for a moment…what if he did break out of prison…then what??
Now if Vybz Kartel really did bruk outta jail – wouldn’t that just be the stupidest thing you ever heard? Vybz Kartel is arguably one of the most recognizable persons in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean Diaspora. With that being said, where in the hell would he go hes TOO RECOGNIZABLE? If Kartel stays in Jamaica anyone looking for a very “Merry” Christmas would probably rat him out for even the smallest of rewards. And where would he hide on an island??? Hes TOO RECOGNIZABLE!
The very reason that Vybz bleached his skin is what makes him now even more recognizable what with his tats so clearly displayed on his well bleached lightened skin..(RCS Note to Criminals: Tattoos are the easiest method for identification — especially those really visible ones like the tears on the face— just plain STUPID!). This makes him TOO RECOGNIZABLE!
If he attempts to leave the island, he cannot do it via airplane for obvious reasons… warrants for his arrest, Kartel would need fake ID ASAP, and he could be extradited anyway. By the way, he’s TOO RECOGNIZABLE!!! So travelling through the airport is out of the question unless hes going to go privately. Now lets say Vybz wanted to use a private jet, considering the huge legal bills that are piling up, I doubt thats in the budget!!! The fuel alone would kill the budget! And, where would he go? Vybz would need to fly to Antarctica or Alaska. Europe, Japan, USA, Canada and other Caribbean islands are out of the question because hes TOO RECOGNIZABLE!
Lastly, if this is all true and Vybz Kartel broke out of prison in a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie leaving police and prison guards injured and/or dead, if hes eventually caught the Jamaican police will probably shoot first and ask questions later
I just dont believe the hype because if its true, this is a lose/lose situation. If hes caught and lives to stand trial you know that Vybz Kartel will be hung out to dry — hes going down!!! If hes never caught, he cannot make a living as Vybz Kartel any longer nor can he live freely. Kartel would be unable to go/come as he wishes or to do whatever he wants whenever he wants with whomever. This is just plain stupid and a lose/lose situation for him!!
I’m not believing this rumor and I hope and pray Vybz Kartel is smarter than that!
