Congratulations go out to Gyptian!!! Gyptian won the award for Best Reggae Artist last night at the 2010 Centric Soul Train Awards.

The win was not surprising to most as Gyptian has been on an upward trajectory for most of this year and his momentum keeps building. At this rate, Gyptian’s momentum may crescendo with a Grammy!

Upon receiving the Soul Train Award, Gyptian thanked his team including his manager Ivor and his team over at VP Records. He also talked loving about his homeland Jamaica. The acceptance was only a few moments after his riveting performance of ‘Nah Let Go’ and ‘Hold Yuh’. Gyptian was warmly received by all especially the Caribbean massive in the building.

Congratulations to the other nominees in the category: Vybz Kartel, Damien Marley, Jah Cure, Mr. Vegas and Gramps Morgan. Gramps Morgan and Mr. Vegas were also in attendance at the show and continue to spread the love of Caribbean music
