In wake of the recent Buju Banton appeal being dismissed, and in support of our brethren, this Saturday, June 30, 2012 in New York City (all five boroughs) @6:30pm Lyme Tyme with Red Carpet Shelley will air an encore presentation of “ Buju Banton and Friends: Before the Dawn Concert” episode. The concert was held last year at Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida.
This monumental concert took place Martin Luther King weekend 2011. This concert was a who’s who of reggae music icons to including Shaggy, Nadine Sutherland, Stephen Marley, Wayne Wonder, Gramps Morgan, Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser, Everton Blender, Konshens, Freddie Mcgregor, Sly & Robbie, DJ Khaled. Amongst the unannounced “friends” performing that night included Sean Paul, Gyptian, Mykal, Rose, Busta Rhymes, Baby Cham, Serani, and Richie Loop. This was the last performance to date of Buju Banton. We at Red Carpet Shelley hope to see Buju on stage again sometime soon and again being honored by his iconic friends.
