Chris Brown Responds to Rihanna Interview

Chris Brown sat down with Robin Roberts of ABC to discuss his reaction to her recent Rihanna interview.   The interview will be aired in its entirety on 20/20 December 4, 2009 at 10pm EST.  However, today a preview of the interview was played on Good Morning America.  Chris, often accused of being insincere, appeared  very moved and visibly shaken as Robin Roberts re-played a snippet of the Rihanna interview for him.  Chris told Robin “I never was that kind of person.  I look at it and its really like  how could I be that person.”

Chris Brown’s reaction to Rihanna recounting the events on that night in February and stating that “he had no soul in his eyes,  just blank…almost as if he had nothing to lose… it wasn’t the same person that says I love you”.

” I was wrong for what I did and I would definitely say that its not  that something that I look past or look over.  Its something that’s really, really touchy and um like I said I’m really sorry for what went down and what happened.”

Regarding being accused of insincerity: “I think what it is, is when people see me smiling and kind of nonchalantly giving answers or saying things …I’m human.  Really I’m really hurting inside…  It’s like devastating to me.”

Regarding the non-physical wounds:  “I can see what damage it does mentally more than physical” 

On the question of does he still love Rihanna Chris said “I have love for her”….

Can’t wait to see the rest of the interview but at the same time I think I’m tired of watching this train wreck.   Let’s move on people!
