Still high celebrating his recent win as ‘Caribbean Chef of the Year’ at the prestigious Taste of the Caribbean 2013 Culinary showcase in Florida, Chef Brian Lumley will be showing his culinary prowess in the Jerk Cook-off Pavilion at the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival on Sunday, July 21, at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York.

Chef Lumley has been making his mark on the regional culinary landscape over recent years. In 2008 Chef Lumley was commissioned by the Embassy of France to fill the position of Personal chef to the French Ambassador, a role he considers to have greatly contributed to his professional proficiency. He is the reigning Jamaican Chef of the Year and continues to represent his island well, as a culinary ambassador of Jamaica, showcasing the best of its local cuisine.

Florida’s popular Chef Irie Spice will also be stirring things up with his innovative jerk recipes and engaging personality for the myriad patrons who will flock to the Jerk Cook-off Pavilion to watch these demonstrations and sample the mouthwatering fare. Adding to the activity in the Jerk Cook-off Pavilion will be Grace Foods’ Chef Mazie Miller, movie star Leon of the movie Cool Runnings, ‘Best Jerk Competition’ and a Celebrity ‘Quick Fire Contest’.
