In the wake of a planned benefit concert this weekend in Tampa, Florida, Grammy-Award winning reggae artist Buju Banton aka Mark Myrie has been moved from Texas to Miami, Florida. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Buju was moved to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Miami, Florida, a low security facility housing male inmates located in southwest Dade County, 30 miles from downtown Miami.
In my opinion, this is a good move. Buju will now be closer to friends, relatives and his attorneys. Thank goodness for small mercies!
