Jamaican sporting superstar Usain Bolt has walked away from another car accident unharmed.  With the Olympics only a couple of months away, Usain fans worried that the Jamaican champion and fastest man in the world would be unable to defend his title at this year’s Olympics.  However, his publicist Carole Beckford has confirmed that the 100 metre world record holder escaped uninjured after the car accident on Sunday.

“Usain was in a minor accident in the Half Way Tree area and sustained no injuries,” stated Beckford.

Reports are that Bolt, 25, was returning home from a party shortly after 5 a.m. when the accident occurred near his Jamaican home.  An unconfirmed account of the accident suggests that the sprinting champion lost control of his black BMW and swerved into guard rails.

Fellow Jamaican sprint champion and medal rival Asafa Powell was also present, but in another car. Powell used his Twitter account to assure his legion of fans after the accident that both he and Bolt were fine after the “fender bender” that wrecked the front of Bolt’s luxury ride.

Bolt is said to be home resting. He and Powell returned to Jamaica recently to take part in national trials and championships slated for June 28 to July 1 in Kingston.

Bolt’s last meet was at the Diamond League in Norway last Thursday where he clocked 9.79 seconds in the 100m to beat Powell who was six seconds slower, coming in second at 9.85.

This is not the first time that the undefeated champion sprinter has crashed his car in Jamaica. In 2009,  Bolt, who is also the 200 metre world record holder, was taken to hospital with a female after an accident.

Okay, Usain no more Weddy Weddy until AFTER the Olympics!!!!

RCS Sidebar:  This is a great opportunity for Usain to get an endorsement deal with BMW (can you say FREE BMW)!!!!
