Panthersville Stadium will be transformed into a mecca of Jamaican food, music and culture on Sunday, August 31, 2014 for the The 9th Annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival and Family Fun Day. The aroma of jerk cuisine, roast fish, curry, mannish water, roti, bake and salt fish, and various other succulent Caribbean culinary specialties will tickle your senses. Add to that the pulsating sounds of Reggae, Dancehall, Calypso, and Soca. You could very well mistake the Georgia capital for a Caribbean capital city, say Kingston, Port of Spain, or Georgetown.
As the only event of its type in the state of Georgia, the annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival has been bringing the flavors and rhythms of the Caribbean to Georgia and surrounding states for the past eight years.
This year, patrons will be treated to performances by the Soca Queen Alison Hinds, the Messenjah – Luciano and ‘Ever Ready’ Freddie McGregor. As usual, there will also be lots of great jerk foods and a Jerk champion will be named!
